Strength isn’t about dominance. It’s not about intimidation, or how loudly you can speak in a room. In a world obsessed with displays of power, the Bible and the Stoics both point to a deeper kind of strength — one forged in restraint. A man’s ability to protect others doesn’t come from uncontrolled aggression but from controlled power, deliberately held back until it must be used.

True power is not in what you can do, but in what you choose not to do.

Power Under Control: The Picture of Christlike Strength

Jesus had unlimited power — yet submitted to the Father’s will.
